The Social Media Club of Evansville and the University of Evansville Social Media Club will be hosting a mayoral discussion on accountability and transparency in the Evansville mayoral office. On Monday October 24th, 2011 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at the University of Evansville’s Ridgway University Center in Eykamp Hall, Lloyd Winnecke and Rick Davis will be discussing their individual positions on these important issues and how social media and technology can play an important role in addressing these issues. The public is invited to this special event and urged to submit their own questions for the Q & A portion.
The goal of this event will be to give each candidate an opportunity to discuss what policies, protocols, and accountability measures they intend to support. A transparent mayor’s office has been a focal point and pledge by both candidates. The goal is to bring these issues and challenges to a public forum.
It’s campaign season and this event will take place just two weeks before the November 8th election. We encourage all to attend to hear what each candidate voices about their positions on social media and other technologies as their campaigns come to a close. Be sure to sign up via the EventBrite widget on the right side bar and submit your question for review, to possibly have it asked of the next Mayor of Evansville.
