Why Should You Attend This Class?
This will be a very technical class. Bring your laptops, and some Advil.
If you are currently hosting your blog on WordPress and wish to move it to your own domain and run it on a WordPress self-hosted install, and have no idea what we just said, then this is for you. Dana and Andrew will assist you in learning what you need to take your site from WP.com to your own domain. We will discuss domain registration, hosting options, themes, transfer of data and more.
Example topic areas will include:
- Domain registration

- Themes
- Widgets
- Transfer of data
- The floor will be open for questions after the basics are covered in the presentation.
ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Andrew Epperson
Andrew is a graduate from the University of Evansville who has been creating websites professionally for over 9 years. He started in freelance creating small sites for organizations around the United States. After as few years in freelance he took the jump into the corporate world as the Marketing Director for a local software company managing their websites and marketing materials. In 2008 he joined the web development team at Norlight, Inc. as the Lead Web Designer / Developer and Search Engine Optimization Specialist. In March 2011 he joins Lieberman Technologies as a Senior Web Specialist. WordPress is his CMS of choice.
Dana M. Nelson
Dana is a local business owner, speaker, dynamic networking organizer, Co-Chair of The Evansville Social Media Club, Co-Chair of Evansville Girl Geek Dinners, Founder of Linkedin to Learn, Freelance writer for the Evansville Business Journal, master gardener, and 4-H Tech Club leader.
